Mission Statement

The Friends of Broadway is committed to sharing the joy of music with people from all backgrounds. We do this by producing musical events that include singing and dancing to Broadway songs, pop tunes, and popular favorites. In the process of reaching out to our community, members of the cast participate in a life-changing experience that they will always remember.  Professional coaches offer individualized training, technical support, and emotional encouragement. Cast members have extensive musical theater experience, including any or all of the following: lessons in tap, jazz, ballet, voice, acting, and/or prior performing experience at the community theater level or above. They learn to work as a team in a fun and challenging environment.  The Friends of Broadway is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.  All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

About

“The Friends of Broadway" was founded in 1998 by then 14-year-old Samantha Hammel (now Bower).  Originally a group of six, each new season boasts a cast of up to 22 performers ranging from grades 2 through college.

 

 "The Friends of Broadway" is a non-profit musical revue featuring performers who travel all over the country singing and dancing to the likes of Broadway, movies, pop songs, oldies, holiday/summer favorites, and much more! There is something for everyone in this high energy, non-stop fun show that the whole family can enjoy!

 

 One mission of this eclectic troupe is to help other non-profit organization.  Fondly known as “FOB”, we have donated our time to nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and churches, and more.  We perform at no charge for places like Children's Hospital in Boston and to benefit organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Foundation for Faces of Children, Operation Smile, Cystic Fibrosis, the Jimmy Fund, American Cancer Society, and many more.

 

Touching the lives of thousands and stunning audiences all over the country, FOB has appeared at hundreds of venues since 1998. Notable performances include Disney World's Epcot Center, Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida, Off-Broadway at The Producer's Club in New York City, and aboard Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas in the Bahamas!

"The Friends of Broadway" are available for your party, fundraiser, special event, school, theater, and more!   We would be delighted to speak with you about dates and rates to get you on your way to a spectacular performance.  Please email Samantha Bower (Producer) at FOBma@aol.com.  The group is available for performances June through February.
